Introduction

Yaesen Awamori Distillery

An awamori distillery established in 1955. Yaesen prides itself on its traditional direct-fire kiln distillation method. Careful to avoid burns, skilled craftsmen are always present in order to adjust the heat to produce the most delicious awamori possible.

Shima Urara

Unlike other Okinawan awamori made from Thai rice, Yaesen's "Shima Urara" is made from the Hitomebore rice grown on Ishigaki Island, making Shima Urara a unique and innovative product. Shima Urara won the Platinum and Jury Prize at the "Kura Master 2023" competition in France and is highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad.
